Travel Highlights Botswana
Chobe National Park
In the Chobe National Park some of the highest concentrations of wildlife can be found. The area around the Chobe River - one of Arika's most beautiful rivers- is home to large herds of elephants and cape buffalo's and to more than 460 different species of birds.
Enjoy the picture of the characteristic red sand dunes of one of the biggest sand deserts worldwide while being on Game drives and walks with Bushmen.
Makgadikgadi National Park
This National Park is well known for its series of salt pans, covering an area as big as Portugal and the tens of thousands Flamingos living there are.
As the gateway to the Okavango Delta, Maun is Botswana's most touristic city. Both modern buildings and native huts form the face of the city. Some of the hotels provide a spectactular view over the Okavango River.
Last but not least, the "jewel" of the Kalahari desert: the Okavango Delta. The Delta is fed by the Okavango River, Southern Africa's third biggest river. The fan-shaped Delta forms a unique ecosystem which is famous for its diversity of plants and animals.
Program idea Botswana
A safari through the Okavango Delta is a whole new experience. It gives you the chance to see nature with completely different eyes. Whilst you glide with your silent canoe through the water, you can hear the sounds of water lapping against the boat and the roar of the animals.
Here you can see ancient hippo paths, beautiful lagoons, crocodiles sunning themselves on the river banks, huge flocks of birds and monkeys playing and chasing each other - it is truly magical.
Watch the sun set on the still waters of the river, with a lovely sundowner cocktail in your hand. Life does not get any more beautiful than this.
